Recent Catalytic Converter Theft


In the area of Ferneley Crescent, Melton on Wednesday 8th September 2021 at approximately 22:30 a vehicle has had its Catalytic converter stolen whilst it was parked on the drive way.

Catalytic converter thefts are a relatively simple job and will take a matter of minutes to steel. The reason for the thefts of these is because of the precious metals hidden inside your converter.

Steps to help!

1. Park to prevent access underneath. But remember to consider pedestrians.
2. Catalytic converters may have a serial number. Mark it to protect it.
3. Install security camera(s).
4. Park in well-lit areas.
