South Leicester Police - Assault Appeal Victoria Park

Officers are appealing for information after a report of an assault in Leicester.
It was reported that around 9.45pm on Monday 9 August, a woman was walking across Victoria Park from London Road towards Victoria Park Road when she was approached by a man and assaulted.


The woman was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment of minor injuries.
The man involved is described as black, around five foot five, with a short, black afro.

Sergeant Steve Douglas said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in and around Victoria Park at the time of the incident and may have seen a man who matches the description. We would also like to ask anyone who was driving in the area to check if they may have captured the man on dash cam.”
