Scams from residents

A local has got in touch to say they received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Maples Surgery. The resident put the phone down and called the surgery to confirm it was not them. We are not sure what this call was about or if there was a potential scam behind it but please remember to never give your personal details out over the phone, especially bank details.

These are fishing Emails so please never call them or click on links. You can block them and mark them as spam.

Emails also from Mercedes stating “Important: Your Mercedes Benz June Statement". Lots of scams but take a look at sites like Action Fraud for some good advice. The best action to take is do not respond and block. If in doubt, directly call the company you want to speak to whether it be the bank, internet provider or delivery service.

Thank you for your time and take care.
