Return of Ornaments Crime Does Not pay and Beat Surgery

Following some criminal damage to a property in Burbage we identified those involved and With the fantastic support of the parents, the financial loss suffered to repair the damage has been paid by those causing it. They also completed some litter picking in the village to give something back to the community.

A massive thank you to the supportive parents and hopefully this action and that taken at home will ensure those involved and others considering behaving in this manner, choose a different path in life.

Following the theft of several garden ornaments in the early hours of Monday morning in Burbage, we have located the items and returned them to the rightful owners.

Thanks to the support of local residents, we have managed to identify, visit and deal with the suspect of the theft in a timely manner. This includes the return of the items.

CCTV and a good relationship between community and local Police has been key to resolving this crime.

We are holding a crime prevention beat surgery outside the Millennium Hall this Saturday (26th June) from 15:00-18:00. There will be lots of crime prevention items such as alarm padlocks, Shed alarms, car key wallets, light timers (all sold at cost).
