Covid-19 Enforcement

Alert message sent 16/11/2020 19:55:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Good evening;

If you follow our local twitter page @OakhamPolice you may be aware that this evening I have issued a Covid-19 ticket to a male who was found in a property in Oakham? He had no legal reason to be in the premises. This coincided with a juvenile being dealt with for possession of cannabis. A further juvenile was warned about his presence in the address and his parents were informed that they would receive a covid-19 ticket if he was found to be breaking the rules and regulations again whilst the lock down is in effect.
It's a timely reminder that we will still engage, explain and educate. However, as this evening has shown we will enforce the legislation when we need to.

Please follow the hyper link for more information on the rules, legislation and regulations;
