October 2020 Local Priorities for Earl Shilton and Barwell

Alert message sent 29/10/2020 15:25:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Dear resident,

Thank you for completing our recent survey about priorities for policing in your local area. We had an excellent response. Your feedback has helped us identify particular areas of focus on this beat. They are:

You said – Anti Social Behaviour
We did – Anti-social behaviour is reported to be a prominent issue for residents across the beat. Local officers are working hard to identify perpetrators. With COVID restrictions also playing apart in these reports your local beat team are spending time on parks engaging with park goers.

You said – Drug Dealing.
We did- We were successful this month in being able to grant drug warrants from the court about houses we believe are dealing drugs in the local area. There were drugs located at the warrants and the suspects were dealt with for those offences. This will hopefully have a positive impact on those living in the area.

You said – Drug Taking
We did – Local beat officers have completed numerous stop and searches in the Barwell and Earl Shilton area and targeting specific locations where it’s been reported most.

What you have told us has helped shape our priorities for this beat. My colleagues and I will continue to keep you up to date on our progress. You can also follow what we are doing at Blaby Police on Facebook and Twitter.
Of course, please remember you can report crime online at www.leics.police.uk or call 101. Please dial 999 in an emergency.

Thank you again for your support.

Your beat officers,

PS Wilson, PC Hughes, PC Heath, PCSO Sidiropoulos
