Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Dear resident,

Thank you for completing our recent survey about priorities for policing in your local area. We had an excellent response. Your feedback has helped us identify particular areas of focus on this beat. They are:

You said - Anti-social Behaviour
We did - Local officers have been made aware of numerous occasions where young people have been causing issues within park areas across the beat predominantly in Bradgate Close, Narborough and Wimpey Park. Local police have also been working with the local parish council and local residents to identify the people involved. The vast majority of individuals have been behaving themselves and there is nothing significant to report at this time patrols will continue to take place into November.

You said - Nuisance motorbikes.
We did - Local officers are well aware of the ongoing issue with motorbikes in fields around New Lubbesthorpe. A master report has been generated to document these incidents and the beat team are working closely with the land owners and ASB team at Blaby District Council to reduce this issue and identify those responsible.
S59 warning signs are in the process of being erected at key hotspot locations, allowing police to seize bikes immediately from anyone involved in this unwanted behaviour. Patrols throughout October have been positive with no recent issues to report.

You said - Road safety issues
We did - Local officers have received a number of complaints regarding road safety issues including speeding and parking. They have been out at various locations across the beat conducts speed checks and dealing with those who have sped appropriately. They have also been focusing on school parking since the new academic year started in September.

What you have told us has helped shape our priorities for this beat. My colleagues and I will continue to keep you up to date on our progress. You can also follow what we are doing at Blaby Police on Facebook and Twitter.

If you have any further feedback, questions or concerns then please do not hesitate to get in contact or say hello when you see us on the street. Our next surgery/event is at the Tesco Express, Narborough on 21st November between 12:00 & 13:00 hours and we would very much like to see you there.

Of course, please remember you can report crime online at www.leics.police.uk or call 101. Please dial 999 in an emergency.

Thank you again for your support.

Your beat officers,

PS Burton, PC Morris, PC Ward, PCSO Macleod and PCSO Chandy
