Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Dear South Leicester Resident,

As you may already be aware. on Monday 12th October the Government announced that will be introducing a new three-tier system of coronavirus restrictions in England.

This will categorise areas as either "medium", "high" or "very high" alert.
Different restrictions will apply to each of the three levels.

Leicester will be in Tier 2 - 'high'. Tier 2 has the same restrictions that are already in place in Leicester, except that people will be able to meet in gardens, subject to the rule of six.

The Tier 2 measures will apply from Wednesday 14 October.

You can find out more about the new restrictions on the Gov.uk website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/local-covid-alert-levels-what-you-need-to-know

To report a COVID breach, you can do so on the Leicestershire Police website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/local-covid-alert-levels-what-you-need-to-know
