Suspicious males in Birstall.

Alert message sent 09/10/2020 12:46:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Dear recipient,

A suspicious incident occurred in Whiles Lane, Birstall on the 6/10/20 involving 2 males wearing high visibility jackets and driving a black car. The males managed to convince an elderly male to let them in then tried to sell him an item at a 'knock down' price. The occupant became suspicious and told the men to leave which they did. Thankfully nothing was taken but it is possible they were trying to see if there was anything in the house worth stealing. Please be vigilant and DON'T let people into your home if you don't know them. Use a safety chain and contact the Police if you are concerned.

The Birstall and Wanlip Police team.
