Your local priorities: Survey results

Dear resident,

Thank you for completing our recent survey about priorities for policing in your local area. We had an excellent response. Your feedback has helped us identify particular areas of focus on this beat. They are:

- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Drug use and Drug Dealing
- Shop Theft

In order to address Priority 1, we have increased our patrols in identified hotspots. As part of our patrols we will be using knife arches and passive drugs dogs to identify opportunities to stop and search individuals and working in partnership with the youth Impact Team to engage and divert those that may become involved in ASB. We will update you when we have completed this work.

For Priority 2, we are actively developing our intelligence around areas of concerns, we have already completed a number of stop searches and executed several drugs warrants at addresses resulting in some positive results and some impending prosecutions and will continue to act on information provided to us.

Priority 3 is also important. We have already started planning for the run up to Christmas with pro-active plain clothes patrols and have been working with Hinckley BID to improve the reporting of this type of crime to ensure we have an accurate picture of when and where this is happening.

What you have told us has helped shape our priorities for this beat. My colleagues and I will keep you up-to-date on our progress. You can also follow what we are doing on Facebook by searching for Hinckley Police.

If you have any further feedback, questions or concerns, please contact us at Hinckley Police Station or say hello when we you see us on the street. Our next event is taking place from 10am on Saturday 10th October 2020 on Castle Street, Hinckley and we would very much like to see you there.

Of course, please remember you can report crime online at or call 101. Please dial 999 in an emergency.

Thank you again for your support.

Your beat officers,

PS 2100 James Cross,
PC 2193 Darren Measures, PC 3004 Mike Statt, PC 1896 Tom Sharpe
