Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Please see attached this month’s Burbage Police Newsletter.

Just to mention whilst I am sending this message out, over the last week we have been dealing with reports of bullying including issues online. This mainly affects young children, but can affect anyone of any age. We can all play a vital role in supporting each other with this. Bullying can be face to face but also through online communication. Adults and children are currently more reliant on social media as a way a keeping in touch with friends due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Due to our limited opportunity to visit schools at the moment, I have passed on material and offered support to all of our local schools in regards to bullying and online safety. We will continue to support schools and individuals in line with government guidelines.

Please have a look at the ThinkYouKnow link which is great for 4-14+ children, Parents/Carers, Children’s workforce and they have also added some content for online blackmail. You can also report abuse from the page. https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/

Thanks for taking the time to read and take care,
