September Newsletter and Town North Update

Alert message sent 14/09/2020 09:42:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Hello Citizen,

PCSO 6049 Jake Spruce here. This is the Melton Town North Beat, Neighbourhood Policing Monthly Update email.

Firstly, let me say it’s good to be back on the beat! I’ve enjoyed a couple of weeks off at the start of this month, whilst my colleagues have been holding the fort, but it’s good to be back and I’ve been out on foot patrol yesterday afternoon on the Melton Town North (Sunday 13/09/2020).

My patrol included loads of valuable community engagement, signing people up to Neighbourhood Link and Surveying Your Views.

It also made my day when a couple of local residents said that they see me out and about all the time!

I’ll be out and about a lot this week, say hi (from a distance) if you see me.

Please find attached the Melton Mowbray General Policing E-Newsletter for the whole Melton Borough, (you may have to click on the link at the bottom of this email). As always though, I like to give you on the Melton Town North a bit more of a personal touch.

- Speed monitoring and patrols in the evenings on Thorpe Road, Dieppe Way, Asfordby Road, Welby Lane and the Nottingham Road area as requested by the local residents.

- I've also been working closely with Tesco's regarding the Anti-Social vehicles that gather there in the evenings and work is on-going.

- Plenty of long foot patrols at all times of the day and evening, covering key ASB hot spot locations all over the Melton Town North, but specifically last month and continuing into this month: at the Welby Lane Church, Morley Close and surrounding area, Fairmead Estate, behind Sainsbury's, Melton Country Park and more.

Please follow our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter if you don't already to catch daily updates on our whereabouts and activities.

This month, we also wish our Town North colleague PCSO Will Ford the best of luck as he is now due to start his career as a PC! So unfortunately, he is leaving the Town North soon but I am sure you will all join me in thanking Will for his service to the beat over the past few years and in wishing him all the best in his new exciting journey as a Police Constable with Leicestershire Police!

Finally, for our new Neighbourhood Link sign ups, thank you for signing up! I am PCSO 6049 Jake Spruce for the Melton Town North Beat and at the start of each month I send out a Town North update letting you know what you need to know, about some of what has been happening on the Town North over the last month.

As always, a big thank you to all the members who continue to stay signed up!

Please share this email with anyone who you know who might like to hear what is happening in their local area using the share button below and encourage them to sign up to www.neighbourhoodlink.co.uk – thank you.
