Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Hello everyone,
PCSO 6049 Jake Spruce here. This is the Melton Town North Beat, Neighbourhood Policing Monthly Update email.

Please find attached at the bottom of this email on the link, the Melton Mowbray General Policing Newsletter for the whole Melton Borough. As always though, I like to give you on the Melton Town North a bit more of a personal touch.

High Visibility Foot Patrols

July has seen me out and about on foot clocking up many miles on multiple foot patrols in the day and evening all over the beat, see where I’ve been on a couple of foot patrols by clicking on the links below, (Tip: it works best if you right click, or hold your finger on the link, and open it in a new internet browser window):

As you’ll see we are continuing to patrol Melton Country Park as well as the residential areas on the beat, offering a visible reassuring presence to residents, addressing any issues we come across and working with partner agencies and the council to deliver long term solutions to problems.

ASB – Anti Social Behaviour

Officers have also been responding to local residents concerns and complaints of anti-social car groups gathering at the Tesco’s car park on Thorpe Road. Tesco’s have been contacted for their support on the issue. I personally have been engaging and speaking with groups there, most of which are not loud or causing ASB at the time I am there. I believe that this may be a small minority of people causing most of the issues, maybe giving everyone who does gather there a bad name. However, I am interested in speaking with more local residents so, if you are a local resident that is affected by this issue, please contact us directly by clicking the yellow reply button at the bottom of this email.
