Burbage Crime Update

Ford Kuga Titanium stolen from a drive on Sketchley road overnight on the 23rd July. Believed to be a keyless break. If you have a keyless vehicle please remember crime prevention methods such as keyless wallets (available from us, £2 each sold at cost) Also consider blocking your vehicle in with another vehicle, bollards or locking your gate. Please check your home and vehicle security as lockdown eases. https://www.leics.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/theft-of-a-vehicle/

Two incidents of theft from Vans. On the night of the 21st July we have suffered two breaks to vans near Twycross road and Wolvey road areas of Burbage. We are continuing to investigate these incidents but please remember to remove any tools you may keep on your van. Also remember to park under lighting and try to block access to doors if possible. Also consider alarms.

We have also received a report of a scam telephone call to a resident stating their bank card would be debited £300. This was a scam and luckily the resident put the phone down. Please check out Action Fraud for scams and advice.

Amongst other things, we have been continuing to deal with reports of Anti-social behaviour, parking concerns and animal welfare concerns. We are also continuing with stop searches in the area and patrols of identified areas of concern. We continue to work with HBBC to resolve issues raised as part of the multi-agency approach.

PLEASE continue to share with your local beat team any information you may have around crime. Information such as names, times and vehicle registrations are vital to supporting us to deal with criminal activity in the area.
