Local Police Update

Alert message sent 05/06/2020 08:03:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

With the end of the sunny weather for now, hope you are all keeping well. Here is a quick update on some of the goings on in Burbage this week.

Bicycle stolen from a shed in the St Catherine’s Close area. Stolen sometime between 31/05/2020 and 01/07/2020. Remember you can get alarms and signage for your sheds to deter criminals. If you would like a copy of our crime prevention catalogue please let me know. Products are sold at cost through the Police.

I have completed some work around rogue traders following a report. I spoke with residents and delivered some crime prevention leaflets including door stickers. It is always good to take notice of suspicious vehicles in your area. Try and get the registration but never put yourself in danger. Always report to the Police if you are concerned so we have the opportunity to check it out.

I have spoken to several residents who have been in touch regarding travellers on the Sketchley Grange hotel car park. They left the site on Wednesday evening with no concerns. The Police and partner agencies liaised throughout.

We have had a vehicle stolen from the Burbage woods/Sapcote road area on Wednesday 3rd June between 16:00-17:30. The vehicle is a Grey Seat Leon. If you were in the area and noticed anything suspicious or if you see an abandoned vehicle in the area matching this description, please give us a call quoting 20*281862

We have also been patrolling the local parks and speaking to groups regarding COVID-19 breaches. Hopefully with the cooler/wetter weather, these incidents will decrease. If you see these breaches please call us immediately so we have the opportunity to deal.

Please feel free to SHARE, RATE, COMMENT or PRINT.

Thank you and Take care,

Darren 6035
