Burbage Weekly update

Reports to us this week include,

A drone being flown over the Sketchley road area. I have also spoken to residents who have seen drones in other areas such as Brookside and Atkins way. Please get in touch if you are aware of who is doing this as it has caused concerns to residents regarding security and privacy.

We are currently investigating several reports of dog bites in the Burbage. Whilst more people are out walking, running and cycling, please remember to keep your dog on a leash.

We have recovered a moped from the Brookside area (picture). If you spot suspicious or abandoned vehicles in your area please let us know. There are also Apps and the Government website you can use to check if the vehicle is stolen, taxed or has a M.O.T

Please continue to report suspicious behaviour in your area. We are working with HBBC to deal with Anti-social behaviour and we are always happy to hear about suspicious goings on in your area. This information is vital to help us disrupt any criminal activity in the area.

One of many SCAMS this week include a text message from someone claiming to be from the DVLA stating you have overpaid your car tax and are due a refund. Please do not click on the link and never hand over any personal details. Visit Action Fraud for help and advice. https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

Crime figures are still very good for Burbage but please continue to stay vigilant.

Just a mention to celebrate some of the great work done by one of our residents. Steve has been repairing/servicing bicycles/scooters for residents to help raise money for Cure Leukaemia. The money raised goes towards helping to save lives and progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer. Thank you to those who have generously donated to make a difference.
