Alert message sent 24/03/2020 18:21:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

In the current climate and challenging times for all we ask for everyone to help prevent the spread of this virus.

Our policing style will continue to protect people and communities, particularly the vulnerable. This is a national health emergency. We urge everybody to stay at home, protect the NHS, and save lives. Respect these new measures and you will help save lives.

We will remain active and visible in communities, engage positively, and work with the NHS, Councils and other stakeholders to slow the spread of the virus. We are there to help in this emergency. Our presence and actions will reassure people. The situation will change. We will reassure by being consistent, doing our job, and being ready to adapt. We will remind people they can report crime online or calling 101 – and always 999 in a real emergency.
