Catalitic Converter Thefts

Alert message sent 13/02/2020 08:08:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Dear All

I hope this message finds you in good health.

I sent out a message some months ago regarding  catalytic converter thefts which were on the rise and asking you to be vigilant.

Only a few days ago we had an incident in the locality where the victim challenged the suspect whilst he was trying to a  catalytic converter. As a result the victim was assaulted and the suspect made off empty handed.

Please be assured that officers are on patrol 24/7, however we cannot be in your neighbourhood all the time. If you do experience similar circumstances, then please try and obtain the number plate of the offending vehicle, the description of the suspect(s) and report it via 999. It's imperative that you don't put yourself in a compromising position.

Many thanks

PS 1974 Mistry
