Incident outside Sileby Post Office on 08/02/20

Just to update you, some of you may be aware of an incident that took place outside Sileby Post Office.
Whilst enquiries were ongoing details could not be released.
Following a call from a concerned resident regarding two persons sat outside the post office prior to it opening in a vehicle, police attended the location.
The vehicle itself was stolen and attached to the vehicle were cloned number plates which were also stolen.
One Occupant inside was found to be in possession of a weapon.
Two persons were arrested and one has been charged and remanded in connection with the incident. I can confirm that neither person resides in Sileby or adjacent villages.
Thank you for taking the time to recognise something didn't appear right and report the incident.
