Op Lionheart update

Alert message sent 23/04/2019 13:45:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Good Afternoon

I have been asked by PS Paul Kear to send this update to you all:

OPERATION LIONHEART – end of second week of activity
Hello all
Enforcement activity for Operation Lionheart has continued across the force area this week, with many more suspects being arrested and charged for offences relating to the distribution and supplying of drugs.
The total figure from both weeks of activity are: 90 warrants, 55 arrests, with 41 people charged.
This important work has not only required the use of police resources from right across the force but also from our partner agencies.
Alongside our public updates on arrests and charges on the force website, we are also continuing to raise awareness and encouraging people to report activity they suspect is associated with County Lines criminality.
These messages are being sent out daily on the Leicestershire Police Facebook and Twitter accounts and if possible I would ask for your support in sharing these messages on your own organisations social media platforms.
Superintendent Shane O’Neill
